How to use iPad File Explorer for Mac
- Download iPad File Explorer for Mac here
- Install iPad File Explorer for Mac Once you download the zip file, uncompress it by double-clicking in Finder, you will find "iPadFileExplorer.dmg".
- Run iPad File Explorer for Mac
- Use iPad File Explorer to transfer files between iPhone and Mac computer, iPad to Mac
- "Download To..." to copy files from iphone to mac computer;
- "Upload Files..." to transfer files from mac computer to iphone or iPad;
- "Delete" will delete current selected folders and files from your iPhone or iPad. (this operation can not be recalled)
- Application Preferences
- Show welcome screen when application starts This option allows the application shows the welcome every time you run the application.
- Check for updates when application starts We release updates for iPad File Explorer for Mac frequently. This option allows to check updates when the application runs, and will prompt you to download the updates if there is any.
- Click to preview This option allows to preview image photos when clicking on them. And you can set specific size of the file to be previewed.
Double click the DMG file to mount it to run the installer. Looks like
Drag "iPadFileExplorer.app" to "Applications" which is on the right to finish installation.
You will see a popup screen which promote you to get a registration code to unlock some locked functionalities.
Of course, you can ignore this screen to use the trial version. If you feel it helpful enough to meet your requirements, please get a registration code by clicking the red text button "Get Register Code Now" to unlock the limited functionalities.
Once you get the code, enter the code and click "Activate" button to finish registration. And the screen will never been seen again.
After you run the application, and connect your iPhone / iPad device to your computer, iPad File Explorer will detect the connection of the device automatically, and list out the file system structure on your device.
Introduce buttons and information area:
- Device - This button is only available for iPhone or iPad device with jailbreaking, shows the real root of the file system.
- Storage - This button allows to show contents of user storage, like photos and other information. It's for iPhone / iPad with or without jailbreaking.
- Capacity - Here shows the capacity of current storage
- Name - Shows the name of the connected devices. You can switch among these devices by selecting different list item.
- Auto Preview - This is a shortcut to enable preview automatically when you click on an image photo file.
